Pros

laid back enviroment. you can't get fired for being incompetent. Don't need to work extra hard. See my comments in the Cons section

Cons

I worked hard and my annual reviews always reflected this. I had continued to receive very high grade on my performance reviews and was well regarded by my peers and directors. The accolades were fine and dandy but let's face it, the pats on the back and positive words don't pay my bills!!!! The freaking place is god darn cheap with the money that it's not even funny... If you're an above average worker you will get the same compensation as the person next to you who may not have put in the same hours or the energy into work. I have seen this happen two years in the row and I didn't want to wait around for another year

Pros

They offer resources for learning.

Cons

In my previous roles I've never felt burnout but with this one is the first I was feeling crush. I don't think managers take time to structure the tasks on a 8hrs or 10hrs per day. There are a lot of unrealistic expectations, no work-life balance at all. Even if you made the sacrifice to stay late, you will not be done with the work for the day.
