Common consensus by employees is that in 10yrs this company will be a shell of its former self. You can readily find info online to back up this claim. It has been in downward spiral for a while now, Those of us on "the front line" hear the customers, relay the concerns, and it falls on deaf ears. One of the company's new battle cries is "we need to show our investors that we're worth investing in".
The company had become obsessed w' growth at all costs. It has truly evolved into a profits before people environment. Reimbursements were cut back, safety bonuses and programs have been eliminated with no plans for replacement. It has steadily mistreated, even abused it's small customers, again proof of this is easily found online. It's focus has shifted to major organizations. The infrastructure is crumbling. There are perpetual product/supply shortages, substandard equipment, and a frighteningly deficient fleet of vehicles. There has been major investments made in tracking equipment/programs, phones and software, only to be completely abandoned within a year. Addressing the egos of those in charge would take more space than supplied. These conditions are not limited to our location, we do talk with others in our district and geographic area, it's a common theme. Team members have become almost a revolving door. It seems we just hire bodies anymore. If you have a pulse and can spell your name you're in, regardless of qualifications or history. This has been applying to lower management lately also. Forget promoting qualified individuals from within, again egos are to blame. I don't believe these conditions are limited solely to the northeast, check the reviews posted on this site. In closing I say if you're in true need of a job short term only, this is an OK place for just that.
