Pros

Good for people with no conscience. If you are a suck-up and do not have a brain, you should do well and will like this place. This once was a good place to work and people cared but those days are long gone.

Cons

I often wonder how this company got so big with they way they cheat their customers. On the sales floor in Northbrook, there is only one brain that matters and that is the VP of Sales. All the other brains are irrelevant. Why they hire people instead of Parrots is beyond me. Every month the bottom quarter of sales floor (sales floor about 100 people) goes on a performance plan and if you do not get out of the bottom quarter in 3 months.. boom you are gone. That is the way they "drive employees to peak performance". Work as fast as you can!! Managers will tell you faster! Faster! Dial faster! Move through your screens faster! Move that mouse faster!

Thank you so much for sharing your opinion with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experiences as an Inside Sales Representative were not what you had hoped, but please know that what you described is atypical of the average Team Member experience. We truly respect our Team Members and recognize their key role in Stericycle’s success. However, we understand that Team Members sometimes come across challenges in the workplace but our goal as an employer is to continue growing, not only as a company, but also as a team of driven and hard-working individuals.

Pros

The diversity of employees...thats it.

Cons

Burn & Churn. Managers are lazy and so far removed from the employees and sales areas that they have no clue what the market will bear. Shredding services is in its twilight years; by 2033 it will more than likely become non existent due to the cloud and digital storage. The health insurance is with one of the worst bad reputation companies out there. If the company cared about its employees they would have made a better choice. I do not recommend to work there unless you want to get sales training which is provided when you start there.
