Pros

I was able to work from home on occasion and was approved to use paid time off when needed. I would love to list all of the other pros that I once had while working at Stitch Fix, however they changed their "policies" rather abruptly without taking their employees dissatisfaction into consideration.

Cons

- You may get ambushed and terminated while 6 and half months pregnant because they documented every move you made for a month and collected erroneous data about your job performance in order to get out of paying for your maternity leave - Extremely unprofessional (Ex. My male manager was so uncomfortable with my pregnancy that he once told me I should "sit on a stack of towels", I saw a manager sitting in a meeting room with the lights off watching shows on his work laptop for several hours during a regular shift, etc.) - Disorganized - Insensitive to personal issues - Lack of proper RECOGNITION/COMPENSATION for specialized teams - You'll only move to management if you drink the Kool Aid, so there's barely any room for growth - Horrible communication between management and employees - Mixed direction/communication/information from each manager - Most people in upper management/management have no idea what they're doing nor have any experience in their role prior to Stitch Fix, so they're constantly trying to compensate for their lack of management skills by relying on the company's mission statement and certain keywords such as "partnership" and "integrity" - Management is essentially a 30-something year old Sorority chapter - You may end up working there for 4 years and never make a dime more than the day you started despite having taken on multiple additional tasks and positions that are not listed in your job title - Compensation is based on "Market" rather than "Merit" so you're never going to get a raise unless every other company in the area changes their compensation

Pros

You are able to work from home

Cons

Very unmotivating work environment. You get a couple of small raisies when you first start but then they cut off raises and expect you to perform at 100% efficiency 100% of the time. There is no motivation to do so. You are basically chained to you desk while you style because everything you do is timed. They provide no tools or stipend for the items you need in order to work from home. No internet stipend, nothing towards your computer, I never even got a pencil after being there 5 years. You have little no interaction with other people. The inventory is poor. Management is always turning over. I think I had about 8 different managers over my 5 years there. They mico manage you. You would think styling would be a creative job but not here. You don't even get to write your own note to a client anymore. AI writes it and you pretty much have to go that route bc you have about 8 minutes to style a client to stay within your efficiency goals. Overall its great that you can work from home but the job is extremely unmotivating and not rewarding. There is no room for advancement. DO yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This is not the company or culture you want.
