Pros

-work from home -paycheck -40% discount (which I rarely use since I can't find anything worth keeping)

Cons

Where do I start... I've been with the company for over 3 years. Things have gone downhill quickly since we went public. Our inventory is horrible, 90% of the Fixes I send out are awful and I feel guilty sending them. I do have a few really great clients that understand how the process works, but our marketing is a complete lie and a total bait and switch tactic. Clients can be so awful- cussing, making racial slurs, insulting LGBTQ (if I have one more person tell me they don't want to look like a lesbian I'm going to cry), and the company does nothing about it and continues to work with these terrible humans. Our pay is deplorable, paying by zip code makes absolutely no sense. There are no merit based raises..so we all just do enough to get by because why do more? There's no reason to. We are micromanaged by leads that have 0 clue what they are talking about, try having a lead or supervisor that was never a stylist- so ridiculous and their advice is laughable. We all fake nice on our monthly calls and gush over how "cute" the leads kids are. Seriously we waste so. much. time. reading twice weekly emails about how our leads weekend/week was. I don't care that you baked cookies with your kid. Seriously. Do. Not. Care. The company keeps slashing our benefits (sick time was cut in more than half) and there are whispers that our FPH will be increased (but any questions or comments about it on the forums are deleted). They took away our only way of connecting with other stylists while working (yammer). It's just sad. This company had a lot of potential. I'm only staying here because I need the money and at this point I can style on auto pilot.

Pros

You are able to work from home

Cons

Very unmotivating work environment. You get a couple of small raisies when you first start but then they cut off raises and expect you to perform at 100% efficiency 100% of the time. There is no motivation to do so. You are basically chained to you desk while you style because everything you do is timed. They provide no tools or stipend for the items you need in order to work from home. No internet stipend, nothing towards your computer, I never even got a pencil after being there 5 years. You have little no interaction with other people. The inventory is poor. Management is always turning over. I think I had about 8 different managers over my 5 years there. They mico manage you. You would think styling would be a creative job but not here. You don't even get to write your own note to a client anymore. AI writes it and you pretty much have to go that route bc you have about 8 minutes to style a client to stay within your efficiency goals. Overall its great that you can work from home but the job is extremely unmotivating and not rewarding. There is no room for advancement. DO yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This is not the company or culture you want.
