Pros

*Above-average pay *Decent benefits IF you are allowed to go FT(health, vision, and dental insurance, 401K with 4% matching, PTO) *WFH

Cons

Stitch Fix seeks to hire people who are "kind, bright, and motivated by challenge." I worked at Stitch Fix for a little over 6 years, and there has been no end to the challenges. Where do I start? *Inventory is unimaginably bad. I'm talking 0 pairs of girls jeans during back-to-school season and 0 pairs of women's/men's pants as more and more people return to work. *You will be required to crank out more and more sub-standard Fixes to hit an arbitrary and ever-changing metric. And you will do this without receiving a commission or any sort of extra monetary compensation. But you will get a store credit and neat pin for every anniversary you celebrate. *The algorithm will style some or all of the Fixes you pull and your Clients will understandably be upset because the exact same damn sweater will be selected in 4 different colors for them. *Interested in a management role? Great! Here is a mountain of busywork. You will receive no extra pay for these tasks and will have to squeeze them into the limited "Core" time you also use to read and respond to emails, client feedback, take breaks, etc. You might be promoted at some nebulous time in the future, while competing with 60+ other Stylists AND outside hires. * You must set a schedule down to 15-minute intervals between 8 am-8 pm. You will not be guaranteed a minimum amount of hours. *Our platforms are notoriously glitchy and can be down for hours. You'll be expected to change your schedule or forgo those hours and not get compensated. *With all of these challenges, HQ will gaslight you and make you participate in asinine meetings in which you reflect on what *you* can do to better serve your Clients.

Pros

The people you actually work with are actually fantastic humans and brilliant engineers. They're eager to learn, collaborate, and help no matter what level they are or team they're on. You can make real friends here.

Cons

Unfortunately, the business just hasn't been as stable as it used to be. Leadership is always changing something and there isn't as much transparency about those decisions as there once was.

Pros

• I work with genuinely kind, supportive people who are always willing to jump in and help or give feedback to help me grow. • I've had the opportunity to partner with a variety of teams and build meaningful relationships across the business even from a remote setting. • Flexible work environment that allowed for a healthy work-life balance. • I've always felt trusted to manage my workload and bring new ideas to recruiting processes. • Mission-driven culture with employees who truly cared about helping clients feel confident in their personal style. • Great place to develop recruiting skills while working alongside talented and thoughtful teammates.

Cons

• Stakeholder alignment could take time when multiple teams were involved in hiring decisions. • I honestly don't have many cons to share. I can genuinely see myself working at Stitch Fix for many years to come. It's a company that truly values its people, and I'm proud to say I work here when people ask. The culture, mission, and people make it a place where I feel supported, challenged, and excited to contribute every day.
