Pros

none I can think of

Cons

The definition of toxic positivity. You’re expected to drink the koolaid, you’re seen as a problem if you’re anything less than bubbly, excited and inspired on a daily basis. Lacks diversity in leadership. This is most definitely a company that you can expect to grow in if, and only if, you’re white. If you’re white, leadership will do whatever they can to make sure you are positioned for the next step, once you’re in position, then they’ll look at developing people of color. I’ve seen this happen multiple times during my 3+ years at this company. Fake culture and values, nothing but a smoke screen. Nothing but lip service, the actions people take do not line up with what they preach. The complete and worst C-level leaders ever assembeled. Was there absolutely no on else that Katrina could have found to lead this company? Iniatives after iniatives that are a waste of time and not driving the business (check the stock). Leads can’t prioritze anything, its talked about but they haven’t put anything into action so everyone is running around like chickens with their head cut off. Its clear Elizabeth wants to put her mark on the company, but she’s taking it down more than doing anything else (again check the stock). Their plans to return to office is absured at this point since we’ve proven over the past 2 years the job can be done remotely. They insist its necessary for collaboration, but they just need to fill the very expensive office in SF with bodies so it doesn’t go to waste. Many good people have left this company due to the mandatory return to office and many more will leave in Apr, myself included. I can’t wait to bail out of here.

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
