Pros
Having a remote role as a stylist was nice, and the employee discount was nice, as well. Styling can be fun when inventory is good.
Cons
Company changed the scheduling policies, which made the flexibility of working there impossible for many. The schedule flexibility was one of the draws, so removing that made the position less appealing, and in my case, impossible to do, as the timeframe they allowed you to work in conflicted with my full time job. I had a great team lead, but I've heard that there is a lot of toxic positivity in other areas, which results in stylists not getting the support they need. Inventory has been terrible for years, which makes it hard to style and makes clients upset, which they often take out on stylists. The new CEO seems to want to phase out stylists and go to more of an algorithm, so be cautious. Stylists are clearly disposable to Stitch Fix, so it doesn't feel like a very solid role at this time in terms of stability. Watched them cut all of California's stylists on a dime during the pandemic, and then continue to cut a huge portion of stylists with their scheduling changes, also during the pandemic. Was a great place to work when I started, but gradually rolled in changes that made it clear they're not invested in their workforce.
