Pros

Flexible hours: I'm able to change my time if needed for an appointment, or if a kid is sick to adjust to their schedule. It's great! Communication: I feel very aware of (mostly) what's going on. If there are changes coming we will no a couple weeks in advance. I used to be a teacher and I find Stitch Fix to be 10x more organized than education. Pay: I'm not sure why people complain about the pay on here. We are paid more than most people who work in the fast food industry. I don't have to leave my house, get a shower, AND I get to set my own hours. It's great! This isn't an income you rely on-- it's a supplement income. Discount: I LOVE the 40% discount--especially around sale time :). Metrics (positive part): I enjoy seeing the metrics as a visual person.

Cons

Workshops: Sometimes the workshops are just pointless. There isn't enough inventory to implement what they like to teach us, so it's a waste of time. Shopping off the Website: The items on the website vs. the inventory I see styling are VASTLY different. I do not buy for one second that these new items I see are also for stylist to pick from as I NEVER see some of the items on the website and I style everyone out of each warehouse. Multiple Warehouses: If everything was in one warehouse, then we should be able to see every single item that is available. Inventory: Oh boy. I have been a stylist for 3 years. Since then, we have been told promise after promise that we will see an improvement and that they hear us "loud and clear". Nothing changes. I have seen the same PINK CLOVER sweater (if you are a stylist--you know) over and over and over again for the past 3 years. Oh, but wait, let us add yet ANOTHER color than adding a new item. There are no more sweaters or trendy winter attire. I feel like they only show us in Minx what they want to push--not their full inventory. Metrics: Alright. My beloved Stitch Fix-- if you expect me to live up to a specific standard then PLEASE do us a favor and live up to them also. There is NO inventory. None. No one wants a floral blouse past the first 5 Fixes. No one wants the same sweater in 5 different colors. No one wants the $70 quilted vest. Yet, when my metrics fall, I'M the blame? I love this job. I work hard to try and send clients items they will love-- but there is nothing but duplicate items. I shouldn't be judged poorly for YOUR lack of inventory and planning. Also, no one wants a $40 plain black see-through tee. Minx: When I type in "dresses" can you just show me ALL of the dresses please? I'm talking solids, short sleeves, long sleeves--everything. Not the same floral stuff no one wants anymore. This goes for all categories. Job Security: I'm very worried for the future of Stitch Fix. I really do love my job--I feel like we get paid well for what we do; however, I don't think this will last much longer and my flexible job will be no more.

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
