Pros

I have been at STORD for a few weeks now and it has gone great. The onboarding process is very organized, I received action items to complete and a laptop before my first day. In warehousing, this is usually never the case. I have been in warehousing for more than 10 years and I have yet to see this. The company is very tech driven with a people first culture that you can see as you are going through onboarding and beyond. Everyone has been very helpful and has made the transition very smooth.

Cons

At this time this is a fairly new company and everything is pretty much being built from the ground up (at least on the warehousing side of the business). For some this might not be ideal since there is no real structure, and we are the ones building it. For me this is actually a great thing because it's a chance to build new processes, build the culture you want to see, build your team, and make this business what so many other large logistics companies claim to be but never truly are since it's not built into their culture. In these companies, people are dispensable, are just a number, and are told to their faces that they are valuable and are what make the company, but behind closed doors they are just another body that can be replaced easily by anyone off the street. So if you enjoy a structured environment where everything is laid out for you, then this might not be for you at the time. But if you are the type to build that structure and lay out the foundation, then this is definitely the place to be.

Pros

Stord offers competitive pay and meaningful equity to all full time employees, giving every employee the opportunity to share in the company's success. We continue to grow through both organic expansion and acquisitions, creating exciting opportunities and increasing the value of that equity. The work is demanding, but it is rewarding. Employees are trusted with a level of ownership and responsibility that would be difficult to find elsewhere, especially early in their careers. If you are looking to learn quickly, solve complex problems, and make a real impact, there are few places that provide this kind of experience. It is exciting to be part of a company that is genuinely growing and succeeding in an industry where that is not always the case.

Cons

Stord is not the right fit for everyone. It is a fast-paced, high-expectation environment where priorities can change quickly, and there is often ambiguity. Success requires being self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership without having every answer or process laid out for you. The pressure can be intense at times, but if you are ambitious, willing to work hard, and eager to grow, you will be given opportunities to take on responsibilities well beyond your title. Those who embrace that environment tend to advance quickly and develop skills that are difficult to gain elsewhere.

Pros

* Friendly coworkers and a welcoming training environment. * Fast-paced operation with opportunities to learn warehouse and logistics processes. * Leadership is expected to take ownership and support the team when needed. * Good experience for those looking to build operations or supply chain management skills.

Cons

* The schedule and time expectations for salaried leaders did not match what was communicated during the hiring process. * Managers are expected to remain until all available work has been completed, which can result in workdays extending several hours beyond the scheduled shift. * The lack of clarity around long-term scheduling made it difficult to maintain outside commitments. * I believe candidates would benefit from receiving a more transparent explanation of the expected hours and day-to-day responsibilities before accepting the role.
