Pros
At an individual level, very bright and talented people at Stripe. Pay and benefits are good. Foundations of strong company culture (with the individuals they hire) but somewhat falls apart at company wide execution. A lot of strategy change and mis-management of existing talent is leading to churn and disconnection from company mission
Cons
If you have 15-20+ years of experience, make sure you come in at the right manager level. Otherwise you'll find a stifling career progression surrounded by mid-management who at times can be out over their skis. Leaving you to wonder how you can challenge yourself and grow around less experienced levels. Performance review process not best in class and other reviews of nepotism ring true.
