Pros

As a private duty nurse, you are placed with a family of a medically fragile child and you care for that child in their home. It is rewarding to contribute to helping the patient improve and grow.

Cons

Caring for a child in their home has some challenges in that include having to deal with their pets, other children, other family members, being in a home that may not be stocked with everything needed at times.

Pros

I have worked for multiple home health companies and Strive has been my favorite so far. They are so quick at filling up your caseload, the supervisors are always so willing to help (especially in person), and the team works hard behind the scenes to help you get auth for your client as fast as possible (literally night and day difference compared to other home health companies). The team is great at communication and I can't recommend them enough. The company also pays for no shows and gas.

Cons

Genuinely can't think of any

Pros

Working at Strive has been an amazing experience. The office staff genuinely cares about both their employees and the families they serve. I always feel supported, whether I have a clinical question, need scheduling assistance, or just need someone to help problem-solve. I love the relationships I've built with my patients and their families. Being able to provide personalized, one-on-one care and make a difference in their lives is why I became a nurse, and Strive makes that possible.

Cons

There really aren't any major downsides. Home health requires flexibility and travel, but that's expected in this field.
