Pros

It's a big company so there is growth potential if you can handle and make it in their culture. They have some great perks with 401K matching and annual bonuses.

Cons

They have 40 people doing the job 1 or 2 people would do at a smaller company, and those 40 people can't seem to get a thing done. They have no sense of urgency in regards to anything except getting their reports. Getting answers to benefits issues or anything else that relates to you personally takes forever if you get a reply at all. Your hard work can be praised by numerous people in all various positions, even executive management, and that has no bearing on being able to get hired or to keep your job. If you are not cut throat you will not survive in this company. After seeing how they operate, I am honestly confused as to how they managed to grow to the size that they are. I would have thought that a company this large would have their act together, but they are extremely disorganized, too large to remember what it means to operate efficiently, and very quick to remind you that you are nothing but a number.

Pros

-Overall high level of talent that you work with -Massive Economies of Scale -Healthy bonus related to healthy company performance

Cons

- Poor Work/Life Balance - HR really only works for Director's and up, and enables their behavior regardless of alignment with company values. Just there to protect the shield - Upstream Marketing has little to know upward growth or trajectory even with years of high ratings on reviews. Must carry the bag to grow career at Stryker.
