Pros

Pay is good for the area but still not worth it.

Cons

For the Miramont location in Middleton, WI. It is hard to know where to start. The morale at this place is so low, everyone is harsh to each other - people aren't even nice when you are training. The management are absolutely clueless and imcompetent. They make decisions based on who knows what, but it has nothing -absolutely nothing - to do with patient safety, experience, or therapeutic value, staff safety, or common sense. Nurses are treated like second rate disposable garbage. There is no follow through or delivery on anything. Everyday is an unorganized circus, people are angry, no protocols are employed. There is zero communication - they will change a process and then send an email out the before and expect the entire staff to just get it with very little explanation. The nurse to patient ratios frequently are higher than 10:1, which is the max they tell you during interviews. You barely have enough time to chart and you have so many patients, it is impossible to attend to the individual. They expect nurses to lead groups each day as well, with no training or guidance. They will lie to you in the interview and say that they don't have security because they do not accept violent patients. THEY ABSOUTELY ACCEPT VIOLENT AND AGGRESSIVE PATIENTS frequently. Known to the company offenders - not the "occasional slip" like the directors will insist. They want heads in beds and they do not care if you are safe or not. This place is just about as poorly run and unsafe as a healthcare place can be. Patients riot, and it is not staffed well enough to respond. There is not a secure nursing station. Staff members frequently cry on the floor. High turnover. I wouldn't recommend this place to a patient or a coworker. Horrible charting system with so many glitches. Shotty nonexistent protocols. Absolutely toxic workplace. They also don't let you schedule PTO on weekends, and they require on-call overtime hours. To say it is a stressful job would be the understatement of a critical value. Do not work here if you have even basic self respect. I seriously have never experienced a more disorganized work place. Run Away!

Pros

Being part of Summit Behavioral Healthcare has been a very positive experience. What stands out most to me is the genuine care every employee has for the company’s mission and for improving the lives of others. It’s clear that you can’t succeed in this field unless you truly care about helping people. It's also exciting to be part of a company that is growing and evolving so actively.

Pros

Worked with great coworker, but extremely stressful environment.

Cons

Upper management is extremely unprofessional. They do not tell managers what is going on or future steps. They laid several of us off due to RIF, but not even our managers knew. The stressful amount of worked placed on people and moving us from project to project with no hope/time to finish the one they gave us before was terrible because they couldn't make up their minds. They are trying to outsource everything. DON'T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY.
