      Pros

      Pays well for a credit union. Benefits are good. The retail side of credit union seems to be run well and adheres to the companies vision.

      Cons

      The commercial department is an island of narcissistic management, terrible credit risk management practices, non-compliance with regulations, animosity between employees, and employee favoritism. Lots of looking the other way and sweeping problems under the rug. If you have a huge portfolio and you produce, you can get away with murder. The whole 'diversity is our strength' is a joke.

      Pros

      Very positive atmosphere & welcoming during training period at HQ. Trainers are very knowledgeable & easily approachable. Staff at branch are also very supportive & helpful with continued training. Company as a whole is very invested in the wellness of their members & employees equally. Best decision I made in going back to financial industry after being in retail 25+ years. Summit definitely listens to their employees & is very open to many ideas on how to better the credit union. I have enjoyed company meetings & celebrations, they really keep you engaged in the networking functions or training sessions. Highly recommend.

      Some branch locations not available in certain areas. But I know we are still growing and will eventually expand.
