      Pros

      Fairly flexible hours for part time and lots of opportunities for experiential learning about lending and member engagement.

      Cons

      The relaxed culture does permit some free riders who don’t get much done and branch managers rarely stay within one branch for more than six months leading to lots of inconsistencies in expectations and experiences for branch employees.

      Pros

      Very positive atmosphere & welcoming during training period at HQ. Trainers are very knowledgeable & easily approachable. Staff at branch are also very supportive & helpful with continued training. Company as a whole is very invested in the wellness of their members & employees equally. Best decision I made in going back to financial industry after being in retail 25+ years. Summit definitely listens to their employees & is very open to many ideas on how to better the credit union. I have enjoyed company meetings & celebrations, they really keep you engaged in the networking functions or training sessions. Highly recommend.

      Cons

      Some branch locations not available in certain areas. But I know we are still growing and will eventually expand.
