Pros

- Their teachers are passionate, selfless, and work incredibly hard for students. - The organization is willing to try new things constantly

Cons

- It appears that innovation comes first--not students. Top-down decisions suggest that their desire to maintain a positive and cutting-edge public image trumps the needs of students. - It boasts a high percentage of students who receive acceptances to 4-year universities, but this statistic is deserving as some students are encouraged to apply to highly non-selective colleges. - Employees are paid significantly less than many surrounding districts

Pros

Great for retirees or anyone in grad school, a lot of free time.

Cons

Some kids don't listen, and sometimes you have to deal with entitled, reckless drivers.

Pros

Good coworkers and positive relationship with students. Frequent PD weeks during expeditions Constantly given snacks in the staff room

Cons

Toxic work Environment, if you weren't personally liked by admin, or rocked the boat in anyway they would talk bad about you. It was almost as if we were still in high school...as high school teachers. There was a lack of transparency from Admin. There was a lack of proper training, I was asked to do unethical things while on the job, ex) asked to graduate my students anyway when they had not earned the grades to pass or had met the attendance expectations. Faced gender discrimination from a Coworker, creating a hostel work environment for me.
