Pros

-Best technology in solar industry -Good strategic planning and positioning for its products -Good pay and benefits: car allowance, gas allowance, RSUs, mobile & broadband access assistance -With too much work to do, still the company supports and celebrates "little" successes every team achieves

Cons

-Very volatile market, when the sun isn't shining, people get laid off. However, they provide just severance pays -Trying hard to provide "work life balance". it is more of a dream, no action to wake up and live the dream -Employee support and development is set aside because of market challenges. With much need to optimize all resources even employees have to sacrifice working 2 shifts per day to deliver output. -Frequent re-orgs, top heavy structure (too many VPs and directors)

Pros

The people at SunPower/BlueRaven were some of the funnest people to work with. I built a lot of great relationships there.

Cons

When SunPower was purchased by TJ Rodgers, he came in and was telling everyone how he was going to turn the whole company around and that "because he's a billionaire he knows how to make it happen" -- Well.. over the span of about a year he laid off about 70% of the company and tried to make other independent contractors so he didnt have to give them a base. The whole company dynamic changed and I now have yet to speak to any former colleagues who enjoyed being there. - Its very toxic now.
