The school genuinely cares about their students and their faculty. Because it is a community college, the students typically have clear career goals. This gives them a little more drive to succeed.

Cons

Like any institution with administration, things can get political. This can take time away from doing your job of teaching.

Wonderful place to work with fantastic staff. This was temporary role for me, but I really enjoyed my time at SCC!

Pros

The students were great to work with.

Cons

Administration is a complete joke. We'd hear "it's like this everywhere" but my friends at other schools are singing very different songs. Admins want to change things just for the sake of changing them. The college would say they had no money, but could afford hiring motivational speakers and presenters for wasteful commentary.
