Pros

Sutter Health is deeply committed to providing outstanding patient care while fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning. I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated colleagues and supportive leaders who value collaboration, professional growth, and innovation. The organization encourages employees to expand their knowledge and make meaningful contributions that positively impact both patients and the community.

Cons

As with any large healthcare organization, adapting to changing workflows and staffing needs requires flexibility. Communication between departments can occasionally be improved, but there is a genuine commitment to working together and finding solutions that support excellent patient care.

Pros

The people I work with on nights are incredible and the team work reminds me of when I was a high school athletes.

Cons

Most of the night shift staff feel neglected like administration only cares about days the kitchen isn't open so we don't get healthy meals or don't get to eat cause nothing is open in town either so if we felt more cared about on night shift that would be cool. Other than that I have not seen or talked to my boss in about 3 years so that more of a pro than con.

Pros

As a full-time ER RN, I genuinely enjoy working at Sutter. The benefits are excellent, but what really stands out is the supportive work environment. Management is very approachable, truly listens to staff, and always maintains an open-door policy. They are encouraging, considerate, and make employees feel heard and valued. The work culture is something I'm especially proud to be a part of. Teamwork is strong, and the environment is positive and respectful. It's refreshing to work in a place that is not toxic, where leadership prioritizes staff well-being and fosters a collaborative atmosphere. One of the things I appreciate most is that my director consistently creates opportunities for us to learn, grow, and become better versions of ourselves, both professionally and personally. Whether it's through education, leadership opportunities, or encouragement to develop new skills, those opportunities are there for anyone willing to take them. The support is genuine—you just have to be willing to embrace the opportunities that are offered. Overall, Sutter has been a great place to grow professionally while feeling supported every step of the way.

Cons

I haven't experienced any major downsides so far. Like any busy ER, the workload can be demanding, but the teamwork and support make it manageable.
