Pros
Stability. Swagelok does have a lot of tenure, with plenty of knowledge of the industry. They hire good people. Friendly, informative... Compensation is commensurate with the industry. If you know the right people, you can do well. Are you thinking about working here? It’s great if you want a job. If you want a career, you better have an in with the CEO.
Cons
It’s a good old boy network. It’s who you know, not what you know that gets you up the ranks. They have an open door policy, but don’t like hearing challenging ideas. SLOW to change. They embrace a career development program to fill their leadership pipeline, so if you actually know what you are doing, and are a seasoned leader, look elsewhere. Operations v Office are two different companies with respect to how associates are treated. No one listens to the voice of the associate. The message from the top down is what middle management responds to. The arrogance of leadership is laughable.
