Pros
Depending on manager, can be a great company but bad managers can happen anywhere. Very stable with lots of active projects. Private company so not subject to the whims of wall-street. Strict financial focus on long term health of the company. Heavy focus on providing ZCD (zero customer disappointments). During economic downturns, uses available full time staff to revamp business process and factory floor operations instead of just reducing employee count like many other companies have. Hiring of full-time employee's is always looked at as a long term hire, not just for individual projects.
Cons
Rigid management. Too many managers/directors below the CIO ignore internal expertise and always seem to want to bring in consultants, even for minor issues. Very rigid dress code for men, women wear pretty much whatever they want (salaried employees). Focus on keeping full time employee count as lean as possible so there is rarely enough available associates to get required projects done in reasonable time frames. This would be ok if those who slack off a lot were held accountable. Yearly review process is horrible.
