      Private company Gives nice break at Christmas time High focus on company values No layoffs/job security

      Cons

      Pay is not as high as other companies in the area Bad maternity policy - 6 weeks at 50% High volume of temporary workers on shop floor that turn over frequently.

      Pros

      Friendly coworkers, lots of holidays off, year end shutdown.

      Cons

      Low pay. Lots of office politics. Your merit increase is based on how well you are liked - not how well you perform. If you don’t fit the Swagelok mold you will have a hard time advancing. It’s almost looked down upon to be an external hire.
