Pros

A phonathon caller earns the highest pay grade, works in a fun environment, has the opportunity to earn many bonuses that come in the form of Amazon.com or Swarthmore Bookstore gift cards, and even gets a free dinner and candy while on the job!

Cons

Making call after call, day after day, and week after week really wears you down after a while. I would recommend not working this job more than two or three days a week. Also, the people you call may not always be polite. Just keep in mind that their rudeness is not directed so much at you as it is at any of their dissatisfaction at Swarthmore as an institution.

Pros

The staff is incredibly fortunate to be able to work with such a smart student body and alumni community.

Cons

Overall staff size is small, making upward movement difficult, but if you know that going in, you can still get a lot from the work experience. On the downside, with a smallish staff, poor managers can wreak havoc.
