Pros
I enjoy the teamwork that you can see on the campus! From upper leadership to floor staff. Everyone works together for the clients best interest. Everyone from supervisors, yfcs to relief staff all work the floor with these clients. Every level of staffing are easy to communicate to and most have an open door policy to come in and share your thoughts and concerns without feeling like you are in the wrong. Its a great job to have if you enjoy working with kids that are troubled and understand that sometimes no matter how hard you try they are not ready for your help and support. There is a lot of training available either through live trainings or training online. You can sign up for all sorts of training other than the yearly trainings that are required. The environment is laid back and friendly , yet professional.
Cons
Sometimes the hours are long, the clients don't want the help or they are not ready for the support. It is most definate that there will be times that the clients are aggressive, rude and a lot of the times assaultive.
