Pros
If you are looking to be part of a hard working team, this is the place to be. You are surrounded by people that all have one common goal: to help children. Supervisors and administrative people are super supportive and hard working as well. I don't know any other job that pays you to take kids hiking, biking, swimming, to the movies, and many other fun activities. It is one of the higher paying jobs starting out in the mental health field and there are many opportunities to move up.
Cons
Even though this job can be extremely fun, it is not for everyone. It is physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting. Some times there are long days and even longer nights. You can get burnt out easily if you don't self-care but its like that with any job.
