Pros

My colleagues are great! And working with individuals living with mental illness can be both challenging and rewarding.

Cons

The company balances their budget of the backs of their employees. Consequently morale is extremely poor, turnover rates are high and initiative among staff is minimal. If you are someone with drive and focus you will really struggle here. The people who work here are great people but they do the bare minimum - sleeping on overnight shifts, dragging out cases to avoid taking on new clients etc. In many ways you can't blame them. They have gone without raises for 3 years, have had vacation time suspended and have one of the worst benefit packages available at a Maine non-profit.

Clinical leadership is abysmal. Ethical concerns across the board. Safety concerns due to inappropriate resident placements. Under-resourced staff.
