Pros

Friendly coworkers, flexible hours, working with kids

Cons

Very little (if any) room to grow past the director position. Salary doesn't match the job duties. Very few federal holidays off. No work life balance. Had to work at least two Saturdays a month, even if the center had coverage. Encouraged upping enrollment even though there wasn't space for new students.

Pros

I enjoyed the work I did do. Working with the children and helping with teachers was fun and I got to socialize quite often with staff and students.

Cons

I was fired for missing one shift because my mother ended up in an accident. I did not get to explain myself for missing said shift and was told to think about my actions for 4 days before being let go. Extremely unprofessional.
