      Pros

      Under the HDT program at an under-performing high school, I was given plenty of opportunity to work with struggling high school students. The lesson materials were all provided and there were plenty of supplemental worksheets and lessons at my disposal.

      Cons

      Tutoring groups were in large, loud spaces with lots of distractions. Students were generally unmotivated, and management offered few solutions to improve problems.

      Pros

      I enjoyed the work I did do. Working with the children and helping with teachers was fun and I got to socialize quite often with staff and students.

      Cons

      I was fired for missing one shift because my mother ended up in an accident. I did not get to explain myself for missing said shift and was told to think about my actions for 4 days before being let go. Extremely unprofessional.
