Pros

They got me into a wonderful company that's a perfect match. But that's the only nice thing I can say since they owe me $17,600 and there's no sign they're going to pay me.

Cons

They are disorganized. Sloppy with instructions. The most disconcerting thing is that the owner, Meenakshi Kapoor doesn't pay on time. She insisted on a contract in which I am only allowed to bill once a month and she has the right to take 30 days to pay me. Well, 30 days stretches into 40 or 50 days. I'm still owed over $17,000 with no sign that she's going to pay. The "company" is located in a private residence. Under no circumstance should you work or take a contract from these people.

Hello, Let me bring some facts for others to read: NO PAYMENT IS DUE - this is wrong to say that that we owe you money. a) At your request, we paid you 15 days before the due date of the payment. b) At your request, we changed your mailing address for the payment, YOUR letter came back to us as "not a known address" so it didnt reach you on time - WE HAVE A PROOF OF IT.. WHICH CAN BE SHOWN TO ANYONE, WHOSOEVER WANTS TO KNOW" c) You had a BREACH OF CONTRACT and decided to join the client directly - WE DID NOT TAKE ANY ACTION - we could do that... d) You had been sending email using your work email and calling from your work number during your work time, we reciprocated the same. You sent a distressed email - that you are in dire need of money, we called to discuss wire transfer option not to yell at your work. You should be happy that no action was taken on breach of contract and other things...instead you are complaining... INCREDIBLE....

Pros

Nothing. I wish I had found a different consulting firm.

Cons

Numerous. I was told initially that the position was 40 hours per week, pretty much salary. Found out later, after working for a month, that it was 'hours billable' as in depending on the number of hours the company had available. As a result I had a whopping 60 hours over two months. Oh, and I didn't receive payment for those hours until 3 months after my work assignment began. The company is always late with payment. The CEO, if he/she she replies to this comment, will spout off 'we changed your payment schedule to 15 days and we didn't have to' which is fine and dandy. Doesn't change the fact that 15 is 15 and not 17 or 24 or 30. They had the right to say 'No we won't change your payment schedule.' and decided against it. That means that the new payment term is every 15 days, no need to bring up something that is no longer valid. Its not a defense but an excuse. The company always waits until payment due date to find out something is wrong with hours. I've asked multiple times for them to check my time sheets the day I submit them, in order to catch errors, but they always wait until they're scheduled to mail out my check...which means it'll be mailed out late...as usual. Management, can never be bothered to answer questions in a timely matter. I've asked questions that were never answered and have been berated for sending the same email multiple times in a day due to no response. I've asked for a simple response to let me know my question is being worked on and have been told to wait until the end of the day, that I'm borderline harassing them. Most things, even pressing matters like when can I expect to receive my check, are either ignored or treated as confrontational. Worse still is there is no 'manager' to speak to, as in can I speak to your manager. The buck stops with the CEO, which means that if you want to work with someone else to resolve the situation you're pretty much screwed.
