We agree that our employee wellness and sense of community are extremely important and need to be a point of focus, especially since we’ve gone remote. Our HR team is always brainstorming new ideas on how to engage with employees and meet even while virtual, and as COVID restrictions are lessening, we’ve been looking into more in-person events such as picnics and holiday parties.
That said, we are also very open to suggestions and employee initiative! We are big believers in empowering our employees to start events on their own initiative, just as one would have done in the office. We’ve seen pushups challenges, coffee exchanges, virtual lunches, and more employee-led events pop up since the pandemic, and we’re always eager to encourage and support these events as they are shared.
