Pros
Synopsys has great work life balance, you work hard during the office hours, interact with your colleagues, sales, marketing to focus on goals ( make chips faster, smaller, less power hungry etc ) with no or little offshore teams.
Cons
Management has diversified into software testing/validation as opposed to EDA/CAD tools, so management looking for new growth areas. Maybe this diversification should have been done earlier.
