Pros
I work with a great team. Most of the team members I work with have a great attitude and really do care about our customers and the service they provide to them. Working for a managed service provider is hard as the customer environments are often very different from one another, but because of that I think I have an opportunity to learn something new almost every day. The Synoptek management team really does seem to care about company culture - they've spent a lot of time identifying the "Synoptek DNA" - #team, #clarity, #results, #growth & #ownIT. I see the management team trying to act in a way to support those ideas and encouraging others to do the same.
Cons
We've grown quite a bit over the past 4 years and changes related to that growth is often hard. I think we've been slow to integrate systems and processes. The impact of this is a loss of efficiency and often more work. It is getting better, just slow.
