Pros

+ Endless career opportunities. If you work hard and maintain a positive attitude, you'll likely be promoted. + There are plenty of opportunities to gain experience working with multiple customers, in multiple IT functions, etc. + As a recent college grad, the opportunity is unmatched (face time with leadership, training bootcamps, consulting experience - the list goes on) + Employees are fun, talented and great to work with + Benefits are good, comp is good, pto is great, etc. + CEO is obviously passionate about helping people and environment + CEO makes an effort to get to know people and is easily contacted. He values the growth and development of his workforce and company + Flexible work environment If you plan to work hard and intend to develop yourself professionally, you'll enjoy being here!

Cons

- Over the last few years, benefits weren't great and there wasn't an immense focus on the employee experience BUT we've already seen many changes come from HR (better onboarding, better benefits - for less cost, they've hired a comp & employee experience person to evaluate salary/bonus structures/manager training/onboarding etc.) - One of the best parts of working for Synoptek was the comradery in the office and training events. Covid naturally took that away, but we've been able to embrace more flexibility and leaders are getting creative in thinking about ways to bring people together for fun, unrelated to work, activities.

Pros

The people are some of the best and like family. We care a lot about our teams and our customers. There are good leaders here but it has just become too hard for us to lead the way they want to.

Cons

Executive Leadership, especially the CEO. The culture has changed a lot since he replaced the former CEO. He does not operate with the same values that have been a part of the company ever since I got here. He rules by fear, control, micromanagement, and is unapproachable. You can see it in meetings with the business and even in our Company meetings. It is uncomfortable. He has started only bringing people in from his former network and they are bringing in their friends. Everything is India focused and North America people are losing their jobs and those that are left are burned out from the excessive workload. We are watching good employees leave either on their own or because they are forced out. The optics of who is leaving and why are not good. I want this to work but it feels like a sinking ship at this point. Our customers aren't even happy with us anymore and that makes our jobs even harder.
