Pros

A lot of the time you work independently. Every day has the potential to be unique. You meet new people all the time. Company vehicle. Good management team. Fun and interesting job.

Cons

If you've ever been a cable tech you know the hours are long and the work can be difficult. So it has to be worth it. Here's where the problem is. You essentially make 12 dollars an hour. Max. The rates for codes are way too low at Tak Communications. "Production Pay" means that you need to do jobs as fast as you possibly can to even sniff a pay rate above 12 bucks. This also goes directly against what management and Comcast ask of their technicians. They want you to spend every second you can fulfilling customer needs. Have you ever taught an old person to use a remote control or connect Wifi? Now imagine teaching them to use 4 different apps related to their service. It's going to take a while. And it doesn't go toward production. So at the end of the day, if you do your job correctly you are guaranteed to make the same amount as someone flipping burgers at McDonald's. All while risking your health in attics and on ladders while putting in a 60 hour work week.
