Pros

TCG's position on telecommuting is amazing. Employees are encouraged to work from home when possible, to minimize wasted hours in traffic or getting to work. This means I can hit the ground running first thing in the morning, not 3 hours after I wake up and fight a grueling commute...This also affords me the luxury of being present for my family, to include not only my children and spouse, but my pets, who are VERY happy to have their human home all day long. My family knows I am working during core business hours, but if I'm needed for something mid day by a family member, I can take care of it and then go right back to work - and I don't have to stress about needing to take an entire day off of work to attend a meeting with my child's school or drop them off at a sporting event. I am able to make the time up earlier or later, and that makes me a much better employee, giving me the freedom to budget my work day in a way that works best for me. The work life balance I enjoy because of this would be hard to beat anywhere else. As a result, I work harder, better, and happier for my employer. Happier employees make the company as a whole a better place to work.

Cons

The only downside to employees working remotely is the lack of a shared communal office space. TCG does a good job of hosting meetings quarterly for employees to socialize and learn about what's going on in the company, but it's not exactly the same. Still, it's a tiny price to pay for the benefit of being able to work remotely and manage the work life balance that is so critical to employees these days.

Pros

I worked as a Training Specialist supporting federal training initiatives and had a very positive experience overall. The organization maintained a professional and collaborative environment where leadership was approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in both customer success and employee support. One of the company’s strengths was its ability to operate effectively within a complex federal environment while maintaining flexibility and strong communication across teams. Employees were trusted to take ownership of their responsibilities, and individuals who demonstrated initiative were often given opportunities to contribute beyond the boundaries of their formal roles. The work was meaningful, team collaboration was strong, and management maintained professionalism during periods of organizational and contractual transition.

Cons

Cons Like many federal contracting environments, long-term stability can sometimes be influenced by contract cycles and government funding timelines. Processes occasionally evolved during active projects, requiring adaptability from staff.
