Pros

This is the first company I've worked for that actually adheres to its core values rather than just rattles them off on the website as buzzwords. In fact, core values are regularly discussed throughout the company to recognize TCGers, including peer-to-peer (so not just kudos from the boss once in a blue moon) recognition. This, along with our Positively Distinct spirit and other factors, establishes a sense of appreciation and encourages collaboration. People around the company want to help each other out, and I always look forward to hanging out with TCGers from all different departments/contracts at events. A big reason I enjoy working at TCG is the open atmosphere. Management want recommendations for improvement and genuinely care about employees. You can let your personality show, which is unique in this industry. You can trust people rather than spend your mental energy weighing how everything fits into office politics. We don't have office politics, and it's so refreshing! We encourage tough but necessary dialogue in the pursuit of continual improvement while maintaining mutual respect. Even during the most difficult times or toughest decisions I've seen, management show compassion and try their best to be fair, which really filters down to everyone.

Cons

We're human, so we have flaws and make mistakes. The good thing is everyone has the best of intentions and is transparent, so it's easy to resolve and recover from frustrations and feel like your perspective is understood. That leads into the fact that working for a good company does not mean work is always easy. TCG tries to make work as enjoyable as possible and maintain work-life balance, but we're a group of smart, hard-working individuals within government contracting. We can't avoid that sometimes work is very demanding, and we all hold each other to high standards. My gripes really stem from operating within the confines of industry itself more than anything about TCG.

Thanks for your feedback! It’s true. Not every day is a great day. Like any other company, we sometimes have to meet ambitious deadlines, chase moving targets, or get stressed out about an assignment. We get it. That’s why we’ve set up the Employee Happiness Department to help balance the bad with a lot of good. We want you to enjoy working at TCG despite the challenges that may come your way.

Pros

I worked as a Training Specialist supporting federal training initiatives and had a very positive experience overall. The organization maintained a professional and collaborative environment where leadership was approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in both customer success and employee support. One of the company’s strengths was its ability to operate effectively within a complex federal environment while maintaining flexibility and strong communication across teams. Employees were trusted to take ownership of their responsibilities, and individuals who demonstrated initiative were often given opportunities to contribute beyond the boundaries of their formal roles. The work was meaningful, team collaboration was strong, and management maintained professionalism during periods of organizational and contractual transition.

Cons

Cons Like many federal contracting environments, long-term stability can sometimes be influenced by contract cycles and government funding timelines. Processes occasionally evolved during active projects, requiring adaptability from staff.
