Government contracting can be unstable. If a program is cut or a contract is not renewed there is no guarantee that you will be placed on another.
While most people are great, there are a few "bad eggs" that are more interested in climbing the corporate ladder or making themselves look good at the expense of others. Instead of talking about your teammates behind their back, it would be more helpful to provide meaningful, constructive feedback. Passive aggressiveness is not helpful or emotionally mature. I suspect the motivation behind some of this behavior is due to age and/or race discrimination but that is difficult to prove. Good people have been lost due to these behaviors.
