Pros
Benefits package 40 hrs a week most of the time Nice, modern downtown office Most people are nice
Cons
Very low salaries No recognition for good employees, this is done at random based on who sucks up the most to the manager not based on effort. Promotions given to people who say yes to management without considering a risk and these people are quite incompetent and put the business at risk in the first place! They hire people without a backbone. If you are smart, and can communicate effectively, you pose a threat to them Lots of middle management who claim to be technical. Of all I know just one woman who I was interviewed by in a different department and gave me a technical test, she was nice, professional and competent technically in interviews, but I think she may have left. As for the rest, the interviews are quite staged and prove my above point of, "If you back up the management whether they are right or wrong, you are in, otherwise, we don't want you causing any kind of opposition to our opinions." Also, as per working here, I observed they want weak candidates to blame in the time of need due to their shortcomings. I guess this is what another candidate below was mentioning about a manager wanting you to report if someone is doing a side task. If that's the case, the manager is incompetent as they don't know what the team is doing.. which brings on my next point.. The managers have to work more with the team, not just delegate. There is free coffee but it tastes really bad. The reason I say it feels like a public restroom is because no one wants to stay at this company and so many people come and go, technical people, managers, recruiters and more.
