Pros
As a 4 billion dollar company you do get insight into a large corporate structure and network. TEK overall has a great training program, and is a solid place to get your foot in the recruiting world. If you're lucky to be at an office with strong leadership the work can be rewarding as well. I also fondly look back upon the relationships I fostered with my consultants.
Cons
Lets start with the fact that they pay you $12/hour until you successfully recruit a certain sales quota. During this "training" period you go through mindless activities and exercises that are a complete waste of time. Therefore, rather than learning on the job you waste time doing things like role plays. I would much rather have spent those hours working towards "earning" my salary. Which brings me to my next point, the hours. TEK breeds a culture where getting in at 7:45 is considered late and leaving before 6 is considered early (didn't matter how much work you had completed). Next, I will particularly only phrase about the Charleston office; the culture is absolutely terrible and "Senior Leadership" are just tenured individuals who only care for themselves. The individual who oversees this office should NEVER be allowed to be in a leadership role.
