Pros

Flexible schedule, opportunities for promotions, physically active This is a part time job for most employees, so schedules can vary from close to full time to 1 day a week. You get two paid 15 minute breaks and one 45 minute unpaid lunch. If you stay for a few years and/or get full time hours (even if you're technically part time), you can get benefits. However, those benefits are contingent on your average weekly hours. Management can be supportive, and if you are willing to put in the effort, you can move up the chain of command over the years. I kept this job for a while as a side job because I liked being able to move around and use my body after working 40 hours a week at a desk.

Cons

Since this is a part time job for most people, most associates are not very invested in the job. If you work as a coordinator, you are in the position of having management breathing down your back, while at the same time, most of the coworkers working under you don't care. For this reason, there is little motivation to train and motivate new hires. Coordinators will dig themselves into a hole because they want to do everything themselves, then they wonder why nobody knows how to do anything. Since most associates are not invested in this job nor are they engaged by it, they will not hesitate to call off multiple times in a week. If 4 people call off, that can be half the staff. The store is only given payroll to have just enough people scheduled to work and get things done. Thus morale deteriorates and causes the good people to find better work leaving those who are still invested in the job demoralized. Since it's such a tight payroll, management will not make you feel okay about calling off work. As a manager or coordinator, it becomes even more difficult to take unplanned time off in case of illness or life in general. Rotating schedules also make it difficult to have a life as you will often work nights and weekends and you cannot plan ahead more than 2 weeks or so.
