Pros
Flexible hours and team oriented environment. Good starting wage for retail. I liked how I could work my hours around my college class schedule - to a point.
Cons
The store management was horrendous and the worst organization I’ve seen in retail. I never knew my hours or what section of the store I was working in because it was never properly posted. They would also schedule me during my specified unavailability (I’m in college) and would demand that I find someone to cover the shifts when it was their consistent errors. And then, I would get penalized for being unable to do so on extremely short notice. Whenever I asked a question, I would get snapped at. The entire training program is too long and I was watching videos for a month without any hands on work. When I was at work, I’d have management give me vague instruction paired with dissatisfied feedback but without any commentary on how I could improve. I never knew what I was doing wrong and frankly there’s a reason most new hires quit so fast. My co workers were equally rude, unhelpful, and lazy. I oftentimes had to do the work of others to which I would get chastised for, but yet when I didn’t do others’ work I’d get equally lectured. I felt like I couldn’t win. They kept many employees employed that would consistently just walk out in the middle of the shift without warning. I just had a horrible experience compared to other retail positions I’ve held where the methodology was clear and not everyone on my team was rude.
