I have never written a negative word about a job in my life however I feel the need to tell future applicants to be careful! I left after 2 months due to my manager taking me I to the office for a "talk" in which she would tell me that no one liked me because I was slow and not helpful.. after her 3rd "meeting" i told her I needed examples of how I was not being helpful so I could improve. She was unable to give me one. So, i quit my job, politely said "this is our third meeting regarding the staff not enjoying my work and my personality, I at this point feel I have done the best work I can do so I will quit so you all can find someone you like better" my bosses response was " are you kidding me!! Do you not no the opportunity you have here?? I will give you some time to think about what you are saying!" I was completely shocked and felt like I had done something wrong, but I couldn't afford to keep walking on egg shells.
it is not in my nature to not be helpful and cheerful so her words really hurt me. At first I stepped my game up! First one there, last to go. I cleaned and organized the equipment every single day. I asked every PT, PTA, OT, OTA, CODA and ST if they needed anything throughout the day. I had one or two coworkers who asked me to get every single one of their patients. My step counter counter about 16000 steps per day. I didn't do the job details I was asked to do such as booking appts. The therapist did this themselves in a book at a desk. Once in awhile I would change an appointment or reschedule. But 80% if my time was patient transportation. The staff was friendly with the patients and from my perspective they all had great communication skills regarding the well being of the patients.
All in all u was offered low salary, expensive benefits and no tuition reimbursement. Hands down the worst company and boss I've ever had.
