Pros

Absolutely nothing. There is absolutely nothing positive to write about this pathetic excuse for a therapy company.

Cons

TMC is an awful company, perhaps the worst I have ever worked for. Anyone that tells you otherwise is either naïve, easily able to be manipulated, or both. I have worked for other contract companies as well as worked at facilities who were “in-house,” and nothing compares to what goes on at TMC. I’m not even sure what to begin. Well, for starters, they have this “charity”which all employees are not required to participate in. However, if you do not give anything to the charity, for example not even $1, they make it known who the people are in the company that did not give. In addition, they no longer offer 401K matching. This is all part of TMC’s “All In Culture,” also known as being brainwashed to be part of their cult. If you aren’t “All In,” then you are “All Out.” Their productivity standards are unethical; using their crazy algorithm it basically comes out to 98%. So, for example, if you are working an 8 hour day you basically have 10 minutes to go to the bathroom, reviewing a patient’s case, handle any issues that may arise such as dealing with family members, etc… Also, imagine you go into work and expect to see 8 patients and 3 of them cancel. Now, taking it one step further, imagine being told you must clock out in the event of a cancellation or if the patient is not immediately available for treatment due to no fault of your own. Instead of getting paid for 8 hours you now are down to 5 hours of paid work. It is common for employees to be on-site performing work related duties for 8 hours, however to only get paid for five hours because they are clocking out to meet an unrealistic productivity expectation is almost unheard of. This is an issue that has been brought up to management and even corporate compliance and continues to be brushed under the rug. TMC also charges a cancellation fee, so now they are collecting $50 for any “unreasonable cancellations” with less than 24 hours notice and profiting from this at the therapist’s expense by instructing them to clock out. This is what TMC does, being greedy to the last dollar. The management of this company is a disgrace. You either get on your board with them or get out. Any issues you may have that you want to discuss with management will get you nowhere other than more misery and possibly cost you your job. There were also instances where it is mandatory you evaluate and pick up patients for caseload, no matter what your professional opinion is if you think they are appropriate or not for therapy. Employees are afraid to speak up regarding any issue they may have due to fear of retaliation, despite there being a “no retaliation” policy. TMC is a company that I would recommend to no one. It is horribly mismanaged and only cares about making money. Any positive review that is on this site or any other job site seems fake and “planted” by someone from corporate. In fact, I know there will be a reply from TMC saying “After reading your review, I want to apologize for your negative experience with TMC..” I beg of whoever writes those to not reply. It is the same generic reply that is all over this site whenever a negative review is posted. Writing a reply like that comes off as being very insincere. The scary thing is that this company is trying to grow and acquire more contracts to be one of the largest therapy contract companies in the country. I hope that one day TMC goes out of business or someone buys them out. They don’t deserve to be the therapy provider to thousands of patients’ across the United States.

Pros

I’ve been with TMC for almost 18 years. I have had the opportunity to work in various roles. TMC supports career growth through leadership training, promoting from within and cares about their employees.

Cons

No company is perfect as it is a business at the end of the day. Would be great if PTO accrual continued to increase above 16 years and did not level off.
