Pros
This is a great place to get your feet wet and gain exposure to many parts of a transportation company and how Software development works. They develop everything in house, which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. There is opportunity for growth and a pretty generous ESOP plan. Pay is industry average for the area. The people you work with are general very nice and patient. Work life balance is excellent, lots of family oriented people there.
Cons
Benefits aren't great for the cost (but that's pretty common) IT Department has a lot of communication issues for how small the department is. They take on way too many projects and maintenance on previous projects fall on the back burner. This is due to upper management being too involved in the projects, and IT leadership are full of pushovers that want to yes them out of the room. The VPs generally look at IT as a bunch of nerdy idiots. Its a good ole boys club at the top so if you are White, it's going to be a better experience.
