Pros

Good pay and all benefits that are expected when working in Belgium such as meal vouchers, hospitalization insurance, ... a car if required. Most colleagues that aren't higher management are approachable, helpful, and kind.

Cons

Company seems to have it all in control from the outside. On the inside there's often a huge lack of communication from higher management and leadership, or they're beating around the bush. Communication between different internal divisions isn't motivated by leadership and thus only happens when individuals are caring enough to do so themselves. The company lacks true vision and has a blinding focus on turning profit. Leadership travels across the world for strategy meetings but no real strategies are ever concluded. To illustrate how internal communication works at TOMRA Food: They kicked out a large part of the organization in late 2023 as they wanted to save millions of Euro's. During the meeting in which this was communicated they said no one would get fired with immediate dismissal in the first following month. The first couple of colleagues were fired the day after they made this promise.
