Pros
-Pay is very competitive, but you have to ask for it right off the bat or they'll low ball you -Will get you involved in large projects which allows for ample opportunity for networking -Technical Staff are easy to get along with, good peer culture
Cons
-Expect frequent long term overnight travel, sometimes requiring flights, even if you have a family and say you can't/don't want to -Management has little interest in a work/life balance and will even call you on weekends. -Requires you to do tasks that are out of your skill/comfort level (ie driving linemen around DURING storms looking for downed power lines) -Instead of growing talent internally, will hire management positions externally, leaving staff stagnant -Penalized all offices/staff by denying bonuses due to poor job performance from one specific region
