Pros

They do offer flexibility in work hours and location. Large knowledge base in the employees that do work here although it is sometimes hard to know who has what experience.

Cons

There is very little training or support for new employees. If you aren’t on a prized project you’ll end up working on that project by yourself even if you should have multiple engineers/resources to support you. The transmission group does some continuing education but it is inconsistent and always online which makes it hard to follow and actually learn from. The management of the group is a lot like the guy in the book “The Ideal Team Player” that they debate on hiring and determine he just wouldn’t fit in because he doesn’t treat those below him very well. I have noticed a huge lack of diversity in the management and employees in general so that doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.

TRC Companies Response

Ensuring that all employees have the tools and resources they need to be successful is important to TRC Companies. We often explore a variety of platforms for training programs in consideration of the diversity we have in both our people and their locations. We recognize that there is always room for improvement and welcome the challenge!

Pros

The people are amazing and I love my team. I also really enjoy the type of remediation we do.

Cons

I don't think pay reflects the job level or stress. It is also difficult to keep up with performance indicators when management does not give enough work to meet them.
