Pros

Easy to get hired, good experience for college grads or transitioning of fields

Pretty much everything else. Inconsistent hours- 6 months of the year was stable, the other 6 your either out of work or demanded to work overtime with little to no notice. Complete disconnect between client, lower and upper management, and employees. While the company does have a no smoking policy on premise and in company vehicles, the policies are completely disregarded and as such I was constantly exposed to second hand smoke during staff meetings and while being trapped in a company vehicle with other employees. Extreme favoritism displayed by management and less qualified people get promotions because they happen to be friends with hire level employees. Departments very segmented and little opportunity is presented to advance. The job is dangerous and involves walking in derelict areas with no protection, and entering homeowners back yards to access meters. Staff is encouraged to gain access to property and complete surveys by any means necessary, creating hostile interactions with homeowners. Fleet vehicles were never provided decals or lights for the entire 2019 season, further adding to the suspicion of homeowners and danger factor of having to pull of the road in less than ideal areas to complete surveys. Absolutely no job security, as most contracts are short term and seasonal.

Pros

The people are amazing and I love my team. I also really enjoy the type of remediation we do.

Cons

I don't think pay reflects the job level or stress. It is also difficult to keep up with performance indicators when management does not give enough work to meet them.
