Pros
- Good Pay and Benefits - Some good knowledgable people - Raises given based on performance (your mileage may vary) - Flexible vacation time (your mileage will vary)
Cons
- Your opinion does not matter. - Your experience does not matter. - Questionable amount of H-1B workers. - Questionable treatment of H-1B workers. - People occasionally have to ask for weekends off. - The technical managers are largely inexperienced and make uninformed unilateral decisions. - Egos overrule logic. Every Time. - Problems are rarely highlighted and corrected. It is an affront to speak negatively about anything regardless of truth, facts, evidence or obviousness. Offering to pitch in does not help. Do as you're told. - Technical people are not involved in important conversations that could save time and money. - Extremely high employee turnover has left very little wheat and a lot of chaff. Many of the technical employees that are left do not have basic computing skills(copying and editing files, running scripts, reading logs) - Google groups, blogspot, youtube, wordpress and countless other invaluable resources are blocked. Searching for answers online is like playing minesweeper. You never know which link is blocked or will flag your internet usage as "inappropriate". - If you stand up, prepare to get hammered down. Overall it is an unfortunate mess. It is a place where almost nothing is designed, planned or executed properly and leaves the capable few bearing most of the burden until they quit from stress.
